Xylem
Celery is one of the vascular plants that contain xylem. Xylem is one of two types of transport tissue, but the best xylem tissue is wood.
Unicellular organism
This egg is a unicellular organism because only when embryo starts to grow and become multicellular.
Thorn of a plant
This is a thorny rose plant that is outside my house. There are many other plants with more thorns that can be found on park paths or in forests.
Stem-woody
This is a wood stem that is found on trees. Stems likes these are found everywhere around your neighborhood.
Rhizome
Rhizome is a plant with a horizontal stem. This is a plant I took a picture of in my house represents a rhizome.
Radial symmetry
Radial symmetry is a type of structure of an organism or part of an organism in which a vertical cut through the axis in any of two or more planes produces two halves that are mirror images of each other. A sunflower has each pedal mirroring one another which makes this an excellent example.
R-strategist
R-strategist are organisms that do not live for a long time, but produce an immense amount of offspring. This spider is an example of a R-strategist.
Prokaryote
Prokaryotes are any cellular organism that has no nuclear membrane. In yogurt, there is bacteria. Bacteria is an example of a prokaryote.
Pollinator
In this picture there is a bee, an example of a pollinator. A pollinator moves pollen from flower to flower. The bee is kind of hard to see, but it is in the middle of the picture.
Pollen
Pollen is the fertilizing element of flowering plants, consisting of fine, powdery, yellowish grains or spores, sometimes in masses. Pollen forms at the end of the flower called the anther.
Niche
A niche is the position or function of an organism in acommunity of plants and animals. The spider here is next to its web (which is impossible to see in this picture).
Keratin
Keratin is the key structural material making up the outer layer of human skin, hair, and nails. It is made up of dead skin.
K-strategist
Birds and some other animals and every human is a K-strategist. K-strategist don't produce that many offspring, but provide protection for them.
Insect
This insect, and many others can be found in your backyard, and especially town parks or areas surrounded by trees.
Fruit- fleshy with seed
Strawberries are an excellent example of fruit fleshy with seed. They are very smooth, soft, and contains many small seeds. Other examples are apples, pears, etc.
Frond
This pland is an example of a frond, a large divided leaf. These can be commonly found in nearby parks.
Exoskeleton
An exoskeleton is an external skeleton that protects an animals body. This bug on the tree has an exoskeleton which basically acts as a barrier.
Eukaryote
A eukaryote is an organism whose cells contain complex structures within their membranes. My bird, along with all the other animals and humans, are examples of eukaryotes.
Enzyme
Enzymes are proteins that speed up chemical reactions. Saliva is an example of that because it breaks down particles of food.
Endosperm
Endosperm is the tissue produced under the seeds of most flowering plants around the time of fertilization. Corn, along with many others, are examples of endosperm. Also, endosperm is an important nutrient that people should have in their diet.
Autotroph
An autotroph is an organism that produces complex organic compounds. For example, they can produce carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Autotrophs are able to produce their own food, and reduce carbon dioxide.
Anther & filament of stamen
The stamen is the male reproductive organ of the flower, and each of the tube-like structures are the filament. The pollen is collected at the tip of the filament called the anther.
Amylase
Amylase is an enzyme that breaks starch down into sugar. Amylase is found in human saliva, the starting point of the food breaking down.
Adaption of an animal
This is an example of an adaption of an animal. This animal has the brown colored features so he can blend in with the tree making it hard for preys to see it/
